Football In Training (FIT) was founded in 2010 and has served over 1,000 players in the 8 seasons since it’s inception. An article appearing in the Indianapolis Star spurred the action necessary to start the league. Indianapolis Cathedral High School had just won the 4A Indiana State Championship Title, beating Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 10-7. The article was a feature on the Cathedral players who had been playing tackle football together since Kindergarten. (At the time, the Fort Wayne CYO football league did not start until 5th grade.) If we were going to compete with that powerhouse, surely we needed to start earlier. Add a slew of like-minded, football-loving and BD Saints-loyal parents and voila, FIT is born. A heart-felt Congratulations goes out to the very first 3rd/4th classes of FIT Football who just won the Class 4A Indiana State Championship Title!! #weareBD
